I am now using Twitter again. Before I am using twitter but I am not successful as I am not able to go beyond 300 followers. I consider a successful twitter profile to have at least this 1,000 to be considered as successful.
I started just last night and I was able to pull in 56 followers to my profile. Not a bad start for someone who is just starting on being active on Twitter again. As of now I am following more than 900 profiles, hoping that they would follow me too. Of course I will unfollow anyone who doesn’t follow me. All twitterers have limited number of people you want to follow of up to 2000. I believe that I am unable follow anymore since my account is just new account and that twitter would consider as a spammer and people whoa re using twitters would be blocking me. I will be following another 1000 after 24 hours so that I could reach a good amount of followers. I am going to do this every night so that I could get at least 2,000 followers by the end of August.
Why I like to have large followers?
Like any marketers I am going to use it to earn money online. I have heard lots of people who are earning from twitter. They are just promoting their affiliate link. I am going to follow their advised and cash in on twitter.

be careful with your tactics, they might think you are a spammer if your follower/following ratio is too big..Just follow the peoples who have same interest as u..It is useless, if you get many follower but they don’t look at your tweets at all. Think about quality not quantity. Before this I have 3000+ followers but most of them spam me..So I blocked them.. I had added your profile.. @eenrockstar
I have already unfollowed those do not follow me so I guess that I will be following more.

Well, I’m now following you on Twitter, you should upload a photo of yourself to attract more follower… we like to see who is behing the computer… even this avatar would be fine.

Go slowly buddy. You don’t want to be considered as a spammer. The main thing is to get good traffic and RT from there.
You are right when you said that the main thing on twitter is to get traffic. However I don’t like to slowdown since I like traffic to my site. I couldn’t do that if I have less followers.
First thing First, you have to think about your readers first, and then little by little about your success with your blog, and of course twitter. I noticed a lot of spammer on twitter, so I would prefer a non-spammer follower rather a spammer one to make my tweet effective and clickable by them to gather people to my site and increasing my traffic.
Don’t worry about that!
Like you I don’t like spammers. I am just sharing what I am doing in my everyday life and some blog post from famous bloggers that I know. This is the what I have read on other Internet Marketer who are successful on Twitter.

I’m on Twitter but I still have a hard time tweeting all the time. I need a push to be active in that network.
Like you I never like hanging out on twitter before but once I have learned the techniques. I have become addicted to it.
